Check out who we are building for and find out how to get involved!
Jeanne and her family were accepted into the Habitat for Humanity home ownership program in May of 2013. Jeanne applied to the program because of plumbing, electrical, and insulation issues within her apartment, as well as unsafe neighborhood conditions.
Jeanne is working hard to raise her great- nephew and granddaughter, and wants to provide them with a safe, decent place they can all call home. Jeanne states that homeownership has always been a dream she considered unattainable until Habitat for Humanity. Habitat is building its 2nd homes in the Conway subdivision of Hope's Crossing. The build days are Wednesday and Saturday 8 A.M.- 2 P.M. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to help build Jeanne and her family's home.
Tonda Chestnut is truly an inspiration to everyone she meets. Tonda has four children and one grandchild, and works as a customer service representative. More importantly she is always giving back to her community, and touching the lives of everyone she meets. Tonda applied to the program because of cramped and unsafe living conditions. She desires to provide a place for her and her children to call home and to feel safe. Tonda has put in countless hours of sweat equity with Habitat and has attended many financial classes where she has learned the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful homeowner. We are so excited about this build because Tonda is such a deserving person, and also because this will be our first build fully funded by our Fund for Humanity which is made up of mortgage payments from current Habitat homeowners. Habitat is building in the Wampee area of Longs, SC for Tonda. The build days are Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 A.M. - 3 P.M. Email email@example.com to help build Tonda and her family's home.
